You won't miss us out hacking anyway 🙋🏻‍♀️ I also have a matching hi viz pink gilet!

Do you wear hi viz when riding on the road?

Thank you everyone for all the support and lovely Thank you everyone for all the support and lovely wishes for Paddy yesterday - we felt all the love ❤️

Our vet (who I assume is sick of the sight of me by now 😂) gave him a full workup today including x-rays, and thankfully there's no fracture or obvious trauma to the foot - which was my biggest worry, as he has fractured his pedal bone on more than one occasion and needed extensive time off to recover.

A full workup, taking into account his history, and his symptoms today, led the vet to decide to medicate his coffin joint in both front feet. I know many horses have this done as part of joint maintenance as they get older, and it's always been something I've been aware Paddy might need at some point in his life given the problems we've had with his feet over the years.

So a few days' box rest to recover, two weeks' field rest, and then we will see how he is again. If he's sound, he can come back into work and continue as normal - if he's not, we rest again for another two weeks, and so on.

If after 6 weeks there's no improvement, we'll consider our options from there - but the vet feels quite confident that this will do the trick as he's really happy with how he's moving behind (so not his hocks), and the problem is definitely in the front feet.

So relieved to hear it could be just a simple maintenance issue and more straightforward to deal with - I feel we both deserve a break now after all we've been through ❤️

So between Paddy’s hopeful news, and Flash making it through her first day on small paddock turnout without blowing up her leg (aided by some snoozy paste 😴), I’m feeling much better about everything today 🥰

Hoping things continue looking up - surely I have earned that by now?! 😂
Hello my lovely Instafam ❤️ I’ve been prett Hello my lovely Instafam ❤️

I’ve been pretty quiet on here lately as life outside these small squares has been pretty busy for me, and I haven’t had the headspace to show up on this blog and create content as much as I usually would.

In truth, the space I’ve allowed myself to not feel under pressure to show up online every day or force myself to create content when I’m struggling to come up with ideas, has been hugely valuable for me over the last few weeks, and I’m really grateful for it.

I love the community I’ve created on here, and so I’ll be back at full tilt with new posts and lots of content very soon. Until that moment of inspiration or motivation arrives, I’ll still be dropping in and out to check in on stories, and sharing posts as much as I can.

I also haven’t had very much to share because I’m gutted to say I now have two horses on box rest 😓 Poor Paddy came in lame from the field a couple of weeks ago, and hasn’t been right since.

We’ve had the farrier, box rested him, and done all the usual stuff that works, and he’s not improving. So tomorrow he goes back to the vet to find out what’s wrong. Please send all your healing vibes our way as we really need them 🥺

Lots of love to you all and hoping we have a positive update tomorrow 🙏🏻

❤️ 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 ❤️

On this Valentine’s Day, I want you to choose first to love yourself.

Love is not a feeling. It is a choice, an act, a daily decision. Often, love is a choice and an action in spite of difficulties, imperfections, and flaws.

And just as we choose daily to love our partners, our families, and our friends - just as they are, with their greatest qualities and all their imperfections - we can also choose daily to love ourselves.

Choose to love yourself now, just as you are, without waiting for yourself to change in some way before you feel worthy of that love.

Choose to really see yourself, to know your greatest qualities, and to accept your imperfections, without judgement or disappointment.

Choose not berating yourself for the things you are not, and instead loving yourself for the things you are.

Choose to embrace all of the things that make you unique, that make you who you are, and love yourself for them.

Choose to be wholly you, and to love all those parts of you.

Choose not changing who you are to fit into a mould, to please others, or to become someone you think is more worthy of another person’s love.

Choose making decisions because they make you truly happy - not because they might make someone else happy.

Choose not compromising your values, beliefs, passions or boundaries, in order to please others and be more “likeable”.

Whatever your relationship status, whoever you have around you - may you first choose to truly love yourself for all that you are, right now, in this moment.

Because when we really see ourselves, accept ourselves, and choose to love ourselves just as we are - not for the person we think we should become, or others might want us to be - we begin to believe that we are worthy of love.

And it is only then that we can truly accept and feel love from others - because how can you allow yourself to be loved by others, if you don’t really believe that you’re worth loving yourself?

So this Valentine’s Day, and every day - choose to love yourself first.

Because you are so worth loving ❤️

🌟 Everything is temporary. This bad feeling will pass, so allow yourself to feel it. This wonderful moment will also pass, so stay present and appreciate it.

🌟 Your self worth is based on more than how you look, what you achieve, and how many likes you get on Instagram.

🌟 You can be kind and still put yourself first. The two are not mutually exclusive.

🌟 When you are on your death bed you will not wish you worked more hours or ate less chocolate. Close the laptop. Eat the damn cookie.

🌟 You are the reason someone smiles when your name pops up on their phone.

🌟Sometimes life isn’t fair. Good and bad things happen to those who don’t deserve them. Don’t be so quick to blame yourself for things outside of your control, or resent others for things you don’t have.

🌟 Someone’s life is better because you’re in it.

🌟 Animals listen well, never talk back, love you unconditionally, and give you a reason to get out of bed every day. Get a pet. (But only if you’re willing to care for it for the rest of its life).

🌟 You should never feel the need to justify or change your relationship status, decisions on children, weight, career choice, or hobbies due to the opinions of others.

🌟 Drink more water.

🌟 People care about you a lot less than you think. Do the thing you’re dying to do but are afraid others will judge you for.

🌟 Do not give your trust away to those who have not earned it.

🌟Asking for help is the most courageous thing anyone can do. Giving help is the most rewarding thing that anyone can do. Ask if you need it, give if you can.

🌟 The grass is greenest where you water it. Practice gratitude daily.

🌟 You have survived 100% of your worst days. You can do this.

🌟 Know when to quit. Put your energy into something that is worth your while.

🌟 Your to-do list will never be finished. Rest is important. Go to bed. Relax. And don’t beat yourself up for it.

🌟 No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

🌟 Be yourself. Be weird, be awkward, be shy, be loud. Be anything - but don’t be who you think someone else wants you to be.

Now, go be you. Because you’re amazing ❤️
